Aims and Objectives

The primary goal of the Department is to equip students with both entrepreneurial and managerial skills which would satisfy the marketing demands of both the Public and Private Sectors.

To this end, the enshrined objectives of the Department include:

• Encouraging students to develop their potentials to become the best.

• Equipping students with current developments and innovations in the field of Marketing.

• Publicizing the H.N.D. Marketing programme and creating awareness about its potential to the general public.

• Linking up with Marketing Professional bodies such as the Chartered Institute of Marketing (Ghana and UK) for the introduction of a Post H.N.D. Marketing programme.

• Admitting students with a minimum of average intellectual capability to go through the training in Marketing.

• Encouraging students not only to become responsible employees, but also entrepreneurs as well.

• Promoting research work from both Lecturers and students for the general good of society.

Award ceremonies are a great way to recognize people for outstanding achievement or length of service. 

The PROMAGS Excellence Awards is a prestigious awards program that recognizes and rewards excellence across all sectors in Marketing.

The Awards provides a platform to recognize individuals that play a significant role in the growth and development of PROMAGS- ATU CHAPTER while recognize the key functions within the sector of Marketing that promote growth and sustainability. 

This is the premier event in Accra Technical University (ATU) which seeks to celebrate 

achievement, innovation and brilliance within the environment of Marketing Department - Accra Technical University (ATU).
